Thomas Jastermsky, Executive Director and Chairman of the Board
As the founder of Holy Joe’s, Tom provides leadership, communications, logistics expertise, quality control and guidance. He has developed strategic partnerships with key product suppliers including Keurig | Green Mountain Coffee, New England Coffee, Harney & Son's Tea brands, and many others. Leading key logistical expertise, Tom has developed strategic partnerships with transportation teams from FedEx, Schneider National, Conway, JB Hunt and many others. Tom works closely with the deploying military to coordinate logistical needs with Space-A (Space Available) military flights for delivering our pallets of coffee for worldwide distribution to military bases.

Susan Rubinsky, First Vice Chair
Susan Rubinsky has led marketing initiatives for Holy Joe’s Café since its inception in 2006 on a pro bono basis. A marketing and communications consultant with a background in tech, startups, and public and non-profit sectors, Susan brings a wealth of experience to the Holy Joe’s team. Her client list includes The Nature Conservancy, Yale University, and regional transit and public agencies such as Greater Bridgeport Transit and Norwalk Water Department. In addition, Susan has won numerous awards for her work including the American Library Association “Top 10 Internet Resources” award and the American Public Transportation Association AdWheels Grand Prize award.

Mary Ann Starkes, Second Vice Chair
Mary Ann Starkes graduated from Yale University School of Nursing in 1984 with a degree in Adult Psychiatry and then became an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She retired from the West Haven Veteran's Medical Center in 2002 and then started a private practice in Adult Psychiatry and currently practices in Hamden,CT.
Mary Ann is the mother of two grown children who live in Seattle, Washington.

Jared McQueen, Secretary and Treasurer
Jared served on the carrier Essex, the flagship of an anti submarine task group. He received a degree in accounting from Quinnipiac College and has a long career as an accountant and auditor. He is married to Cecelia and they have two children, David and Heather. Jared's community service includes being a School Building Committee Treasurer for renovation and improvement of 11 schools with a budget of 64 million. Also he has served as Campaign Treasurer for many candidates and committees, compiling Itemized Campaign Finance Disclosure Statements required by the CT State Elections Enforcement Commission.
David Gessert served six years with Army Reserve 344th MPCo and has been involved with Holy Joe’s since it’s inception, providing a key advisory role. A 53 year resident, Dave served for 14 years on the Wallingford Town Council and was a one term Republican Town Chair. He spent 24 years on the Wallingford Public Utilities Commission, including 10 years as Chair. In addition, Dave is currently Board Chair for the Ashlar Village (15years) division of Masonicare and Commander of American Legion Post 187, and is an active member of the First Congregational Church in Wallingford, CT.
